 Sergeant Major Jose Rivas is a transitioning Sergeant Major from the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) with over 22 years of distinguished military service as a Special Operations Combat Medic, including 15 years within the United States Special Operations Command and the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Special Operations) (Airborne). SGM Rivas is also a recipient of the Silver Star Medal, the third highest award for combat. 

A seasoned leader at every level, he brings unparalleled experience, leadership, and commitment to every mission—while also serving as a trusted mentor, guiding and developing those around him to reach their fullest potential. He holds a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness from New England College. 

He is currently transitioning into to a career in Law Enforcement to continue serving his community in a different capacity and being a role model for at-risk youth.
